Raindrops on Roses....

With all the newscasts coming from London for the Queen's Jubilee Celebrations, I find myself keenly missing my favourite city in the world. And so, this is a blog post to 'My Favourite Things...In London' (Be warned, this could be quite a long post!)
Here they are, in no particular order:

1. St Paul's Cathedral: An icon of the city skyline
(This one is me on the steps of St Paul's)

(The skyline with St Paul's)

2. The Globe Theatre: In honour of the greatest playwright that ever wrote

3. Kensington Gardens: The playground of past royals

4. Hyde Park: Early spring when the daffodils are blooming!

5. The Victoria and Albert Museum: A tresure trove of historic artefacts

6. Old Churches with towering steeples

7. Beautiful Bridges

8. London Zoo: Home of the Okapis

9. Westminster Abbey: Tributes to so many, including past royals and world leaders, who have greatly influenced the world (William Wilberforce, Shakespeare, Jane Austen....just to name a few of the plaques that I was especially keen to find)

10. Buckingham Palace: One of the residences of Her Majesty

And now, if you'll excuse me, I think I might just go and book myself a ticket back to this incredible and vibrant historic city!
