Poem: Children

Children
There are children who are crying
And there are children who are dying
There are children who are laughing
And there are children who are playing.

No matter who or where they are,
Children everywhere are saying:
Hold my hand, hug me tight
Let me be a child at heart
See me, smile at me,
Never let me leave your sight

There are children who are silenced
And there are children who are scared
There are children who are clothed
And there are children who are fed.

No matter who or where they are,
Children everywhere are saying:
Hold my hand, hug me tight
Let me be a child at heart,
See me, smile at me,
Never let me leave your sight.
          (N. Mollenhauer).
